The race honors the memory of Lois Koss by using the proceeds to contribute to the Lois Koss Memorial Scholarship Fund. These scholarships will be awarded to students of the Hamburg Central School District, Ss. Peter and Paul School and the Frontier Central School District, to which Lois was extremely devoted.

The LK5K is a flat course through the Village of Hamburg! T-Shirts to the first 350 registered. Day of race registration opens at 4:00 PM. Awards in 5-year age groups through 70+. Post race party with live DJ, food, pop and beer.
